KS2 Singing Group
St John's Singing Group is a well established group at the school. It is for year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children to come along and have a sing at a lunchtime and it is run by Mrs Ballard. Being part of the singing group involves a great commitment, especially in the Autumn term when the children sing Christmas carols and popular songs for the community and in the Spring Term, when the children compete in the Lincoln Music and Drama Festival. In the Summer term, the children enjoy singing some of their favourite songs and they perform them at the FOS Summer Fair. The children sing songs from around the world and have fun trying new and challenging pieces. The children learn to sing in parts with intricate harmonies, which sounds fantastic.
